❗MIC PROBLEMS ❗

Things to check:

- Mixer

  • Mixer has power (cable in back and light on)

  • Mic volume knob turned up

- Battery Pack

  • Check it is charged and turns on.

  • Try Swapping Batteries - In body pack (Older Analogue mics Fhain, Alexa & Görli)

- SHURE Receiver Box (underneath or on coach desk)

  • Is on and has power

  • For older Analogue mics make sure the box is on same channel as the mics (usually channel A1)

    Digital Mics Schöni

Analogue Mics - Fhain, Görli & Alexa (check channel on mic pack and reciever are the same - A1)

Connecting Mics

  • When connecting headsets to the Mic packs please be gentle not to damage the pins

  • Please note! The Analogue mics connect with the button to the front and the Digital mics connect with the button to the back!

  • DO NOT FORCE IT!

Analogue mics connect headset with the button on the front

Digital mics (Schöni) connect the headset with the button at the back

Experiencing Mic interference?

  • Check the volume on the mixer is not too high - try lowering it and moving the mic closer to your mouth.

  • Check the volume on the battery pack is turned all the way down (Analogue mics - see pic)

  • Try disconnecting Mic from bodypack, spray and clean with contact spray and re-attach

  • Make sure the part of the Mic that attaches to the body pack is not loose and is screwed in tight

  • Try swapping the batteries (older analogue mics)

  • Try swapping the battery pack and headset to identify if its a headset or Battery pack issue (usually headset issue)

  • Check for cable damage by moving the cables and see if you here interference/crackling

  • If still having issues, it’s possible the Mic is wet, try the other mic. Leave original Mic to dry and leave location feedback.

  • There should be a spare mic headset in storage at each location

Make sure volume on pack is turned all the way down!

Mic not charging in the charging station? (Newer digital mics)

  • Check the Mic pack is seated properly into the charging station and lights come on (Red flashing charging - solid green fully charged)

  • Still not charging? - open back of battery pack and remove the rechargeable battery from inside. Place this battery directly into the charging station (Sits on the top horizontal) Allow the battery to charge for a few seconds (Make sure light comes on the station), then place back inside the Mic pack and put the whole mic back onto charge - it should now charge.

Mic too muffled/bad quality? check the mic position:

❗LIGHT RIDER APP NOT RESPONDING❗

  1. In the app go into menu (Three lines top left of screen)

  2. Check the connected interfaces

  3. Under interfaces the DMX device “LR512” should be listed

  4. Click LR512 to connect the app with the interface

  5. LR512 is not listed?

  6. Click 'refresh' and wait to see if app finds and connects to DMX device.

  14. Plug in power cable from the device and restart the app

❗RESTARTING THE DMX (Light Rider Box)

To restart the DMX box pull the USB power supply out, wait a few seconds and then plug back in.

  • In Alexa studio this is located above and behind the coach on the ledge. You will need to stand on the bike saddle to access it - See below video

In Görli, Fhain & Schöni the box will be located around the coach stage, underneath the coach desk or attached to the wall close by

❗LIGHT RIDER APP PRESETS NOT CORRECT❗

If the presets are working but not displaying correctly, it's possible that the presets have been accidentally overwritten.

**First try quitting and reopening the app!**

If still not working there is a backup copy of the presets saved in settings called 'Backup'.

To switch to the backup copy do the following:

  1. In the app go into menu (Three lines top left of screen)

  2. Tap 'Backup' under 'My Projects'

  3. Test the presets, they should now work again.

  4. Notify Craig so a new backup can be made.

❗SOUND ISSUES❗

Things to check:

  • Check AUX cable is connected to the Mac - unplug and replug to ensure connection.

  • If no sound just from Ableton check sound settings. Click Live (upper left corner) preferences/settings > audio > audio output live > change device in the dropdown to "External headphone output "

  • If sound is not working from laptop at all (check itunes browser etc) check below steps

  • Make sure mixer has power, Light on and cable secure in back, plugged into coach desk

  • Check that the Music Volume is turned up on Mac (Should always be on max) and Mixer volume knob.

  • (For headphone gyms) Make sure headphones on the correct colour channel

  • Check Headphone Reciever box is on and on the correct channel. (Görli & Schöni Big - Channel 1. Schöni small - Channel 2)

❗CRACKLING ON VOLUME CONTROLS❗

If you experience crackling when turning up and down the volume controls on the mixer, please spray with contact spray (see video)

❗MIXER INFO❗

  • Always check this box has power and the cables at the back are connected.

  • Do not exceed the white line markers

  • Make sure Mac is on full volume and just use these controls

  • The mic is very sensitive so try to find the level that works for you before your ride and avoid adjusting.

**Note if the mic is too low it is not audible and if too high it has metalic interference**

❗HDMI - SCREEN CONNECTION ISSUES❗

FHAIN

If you are having issues getting the Tv’s to connect at Fhain studio, please first try disconnecting and reconnecting the HDMI adapter from the ipad. If this does not work then try turning off these switches (See pic) in the light room and then turn them back on, this will restart the HDMI splitter which is located in the pannel above the coach bike.

GÖRLI & SCHÖNI

Try disconnecting and reconnecting the HDMI adapter connected to the ipad. If this does not work check the HDMI splitter, you will find on the floor next to the coach. Check it has power and all cables are connected. If not reconnect and power cycle.

ALEXA

We no longer connect the ipad using HDMI at this location since Workout Box is running directly from the PC's to the TV's. Make sure HDMI Source on the TV is set to PC

❗HEADPHONE SETTINGS❗(BERLIN ONLY)

How to sound check with headphones:

  • Turn the headphones on using the power button on the right side.

  • Change the channel using the channel button on the left side until the LED's are- Red: Görli & Small room Schöni, Blue: big room Schöni

  • Place the headphones on the correct way (each side labelled L & R)

  • Turn the volume up to max using the volume control behind the right ear.

  • Play music from the laptop and do a sound check with headphones to find max volume.

  • If you do not hear any music, check Headphone transmitter is turned on and on correct channel (Channel 1 Görli + Schöni Big. Channel 2 Schöni Small)

  • Check sound output on the mac is set to headphones.

  • If no sound only from Ableton make sure output settings are also set to external headphones. (See sound troubleshooting points above)

❗SPEAKERS NOT WORKING❗

  • If some of the speakers stop working at Fhain or Alexa: Check all Subwoofers (big bass speakers) have power and are turned on. (Will have a digital display screen on the back)

  • If one is not turning on then it needs to be replaced. We keep spares at 'Myplace' storage - studio managers to arrange with Justin for the FM team to collect and swap out. Connect with existing cables and follow video below to ensure settings are correct.

WORKOUT BOX TEST - (ALEXA BERLIN ONLY)

*Key Points to Note:*

- The app is now called Coach Assistant (black icon). It should be open and running as usual. If it’s not, please launch it from the toolbar.

- Sensors can’t currently be swapped, and customer data can’t be edited in this app (this feature will be added soon). For now, please direct customers to FOH or use the B81 FOH app (blue icon) to make any changes.

- The workout will automatically start PAUSED when the timer reaches zero. Make sure to press PLAY once your mix in Ableton is ready to go.

- Coach View is different from Customer View: Coaches will see the grid, but participants will move in real-time as their heart rate changes. The highest-performing participants will move to the top, while those with the lowest heart rates will move to the bottom.

- Menu Options: Please do NOT click Cancel Workout or Complete Workout, as this will cancel the entire class.

- *TV Display: The TV should already be on the correct HDMI input. PC*
